   任诚刚，男，云南农业大学外语学院英语教授；云南大学滇池学院客座教授。系中华（传统）诗词学会会员、云南省翻译工作者协会理事；编著书籍：《旅美吟稿》（专著、1999）、《英汉诗歌鉴赏比较与互译》（2013）、译著《汉英对照韵译天安门诗抄一百首》（2016）、《英韵周恩来朱德及陈毅诗选五十首》等。擅长文学创作及翻译，以诗歌韵译见长。

Wuhan’s Misfortune

赵宜忠,1966年毕业于齐齐哈尔大学英文专业，后又在黑龙江大学和北京二外进修两年。曾任河北省邯郸市人民政府外办副主任，市译协副主席，省译协理事，市旅游局总经理，一直从事翻译工作。喜欢翻译古诗,曾翻译出版《邯郸成语典故》，《邯郸画册》《韵译中国古诗150首》等。
JOHN ZHAO Yizhong graduated from Qiqihar University in 1966, majoring in English. Later he studied at Heilongjiang University and Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute for two years. He was the deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Handan City, Hebei Province, the vice chairman of Handan Municipal Translation Association, the director of the Hebei Provincial Translation Association, as well as the general manager of Handan Municipal Tourism Bureau. He has been an interpreter all the time. Now, he lives in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. He has translated and published Handan Idioms and Allusions , Handan Album, Rhyme Translation of 150 Chinese Ancient Poems, etc.

The nCoV Pneumonia suddenly outbreaks in Wuhan

Better to cut off the root than to escape from the plague
The key to the trouble is to improve people’s literacy

Poem for Wuhan Battle against New Coronavirus
 (Rhyme of Pingshui )
Under Hanyang trees is insidious ghost,
On parrot islet the demon is host.
Tens of thousands of lives have been ravaged,
Many angels have fallen ill, they're bold.                    
Lei Gong's enlarged belly fights evil, aye.                  
Zhu Rong drills wood to drive ill nests away. 
Avalokitesvara spread net here n' there,                  
 The evil ghosts have no more days to stay.
Note: The Lei Gong is the God of Thunder, and the ZHU Rong is the God of Fire.

Demons and monsters have run wild on earth;

Three Poems in Archaic Style：
The Battle against Novel Pneumonia Virus
 
Novel pneumonia virus continues madly to rise;
How a rat passes winter the zodiac sign implies.
There should merrily be many a new spring day,
But people have to store food and at home stay.
 
Knowing staying at home is the safest though,
Some fight in frontier against the coronal foe.
The angels in white are the most respectable,
Despising they may be most easily infectable!
 
Although the coronal demon is madly severe,
Much stronger are people of our Nation dear.
The public all over the country, young and old,
Vow to win the battle against epidemic in cold.

吴伟雄，英语译审。中国译协四、五届理事，获“资深翻译家”证书。多年奉职地市外事工作；曾任北京理工大学珠海学院教授。发核心刊物翻译论文16篇，出版编著5本。2005年在“桂林山水甲天下”名句国际译文征集中摘冠。
Mr. WU Weixiong is a Prof. of Translation. He was member of the 4th and 5th Councils of the Translators Association of China, awarded the TAC Certificate of Senior Translator. He worked in Foreign Affairs Offices in two municipalities, and then a professor in Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai. He has published 16 papers in core journals in China, and 5 books, on translation. He won the first place in the international CALL FOR TRANSLATIONS OF THE NOTED SAYING “桂林山水甲天下”in 2005.

——武汉病毒稍事蔓延后，全国出门者寥寥无几，荀守奎仍外出拍摄雪后景，实在难得，特命笔以记之。
 
几朵梅花几盼春，纷飞瑞雪粉新晨。
长江水暖偏无鸭，武汉妖魔闭要津。
 
Expecting the Spring
——After the spreading of the new coronavirus from Wuhan to other areas, people of China seldom go outdoors. But Professor Xun Shoukui still goes out to take photos of the snow covered landscape. I am convinced that the rare act should be treasured and so I write a few poetic lines to mark it. 
 
A few plum flowers expect spring times a few,
Flying snow polishes th’ morning brand new.
The Yangzte’s warmer but no duck in flow,
The Devil in Wuhan blocks passage though.
 
庚子立春祈福武汉
 
越冬黄鹤觅春魂，妖雾寻机扰鄂村。
震怒神山喷怒火，千灾万难荡无存。
 
Praying for Wuhan on the Beginning of Spring
 
Having passed winter, looks for spring the crane yellow,
At Hubei, new virus the evil fog does throw.
Shoots fire at the devil, the angry Fire God Hill,
And all disasters are crushed with a magic mill.

程永生，安徽省潜山市人；安徽理工大学教授，北京吉利学院教授，安徽省文史研究馆馆员，中国诗词研究会会员，主持Translating China的诗歌栏目。最近几年开始从事诗词创作与英译，已在纸刊和微刊上发表诗词曲作品近千首，出版有诗集《英汉对照律诗绝句二百首》，建有个人微信公众号《淮风皖韵文学》。
Mr. Cheng Yongsheng, a native of Qianshan City, Anhui Province, Cheng Yongsheng serves as professor of English of Anhui University of Science and Technology and Bejing Geely University. In addition to chairing the poetry column of Translating China, he is a member of Anhui Museum of Literature and History and of China Poetry Research Society. He took on poetry composition in recent years and has been writing and translating the products into English ever since. He has published in paper and WeChat journals about a thousand poems in addition to an anthology entitled Two Hundred Chinese Regulated and Cut Verse with English Translations and he has also founded a personal WeChat Account Wanshan and Huaihe Sytle.
