来到这座山时
阳光正从西侧枝叶缝隙斜打过来
秋凉也恰好赶到
我手拿柴刀
爬坡，开路。淌水，搭桥
对事物保持陌生感
一一唤醒
潜伏的生命体征
就像：激流、瀑布
甚至是帝王绿的草叶
远处，布谷鸟一声鸣叫
向我暗示不为人知的秘密：
这里盘根错节，百兽出没
并随时隐藏着悬崖
（畏高者勿近！）
凉飕飕的树叶
从峰顶高高的树上落下
我忽然记起
自己就是一个畏高者
而且是天生的
对此，我曾三缄其口
尽管喉结与磐石一样坚硬
于畏高者而言
所有仰望都是个悬崖
对高处一棵树的寄望
有时是渐进式的，有时是递减式的
我到来，像是要赎回
过去向它抵押了的夏天
并赋予落叶、枯枝
长久的美学内涵
而我
拒绝执行时间判决
也不致于
沦为内心的失信者

A Mountain Tour on the Double-ninth Day
When I get at the mountain
Sun rays are slanting through the tree leaves from the west
And the autumn coolness comes just in time
Billhook in hand
I climb, blaze trails, wade and build bridges with branches
Everything seems fresh to me
Wakening up
The latent vital signs
Just like torrents, waterfalls
Or even grass blades of majestic green
In the distance, a cuckoo crows
As if hinting me at a secret:
Here abound intertwined roots, wild animals
And perilous precipices
(Keep off if you fear height)
Chilly leaves
Flutter down from the tall trees atop the peak
It suddenly occurs to me that
Acrophobia
Has been following me all my life
Which I keep to myself
Though my Adam’s apple is as hard as a rock
With acrophobia
Gazing up can feel terrifying like a precipice
The yearning for a tree above
Can get gradually keener, or the other way round
It seems I come
To redeem the summer mortgaged to it
And endow the fallen leaves and wither branches
With lasting aesthetic connotation
But I
By defying the verdict of time
Will not
Fail to follow my own heart
